Mrs. Pease was a remarkable person who owned and operated Bobby’s Hobby Lobby, a Westminster institution on Main Street in the middle of downtown, for several generations of Carroll Countians growing-up in an era long gone by.

Several years ago Mrs. Pease and Bobby’s Hobby Lobby was the focus of one or two articles I wrote for the Sunday Carroll Eagle section of the Baltimore Sun.

According to information e-mailed by a family member, her obit reads as follows. You may also find her obit and family arrangements at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., in Westminster. Her obituary appears here: http://www.fletcherfuneralhome.net/obits/obituary.php?id=639899

Wanda Mae Spring Pease, 86, of Westminster, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Copper Ridge.  Born May 9, 1928 in Great Cacapon, WV, she was the daughter of the late Zula L. Wisner Spring and Wilson Spring.  She was the former wife of Robert S. Pease.

She owned and operated Bobby’s Hobby Lobby on Main Street in Westminster for over 40 years.  She worked for Martin Aircraft in her earlier years and graduated from the Peabody Conservatory.  She was a member of the Westminster Retail Merchant Association, Carroll County Philatelic Association, Westminster United Methodist Church and helped start Westminster Fallfest.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Roberta and Brian Kasik of Randallstown, daughter Beverly Pease of Germantown, son Christopher Pease of Winter Garden, FL and many beloved friends.

She was predeceased by sisters Winifred Layton, Geraldine Cooke, Ada McNabb, Ina Spring and a brother Luther Spring.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Marshall Green officiating.  Graveside services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Great Cacapon, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association,

P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 or the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
