She was the mom of our Westminster High School class of 1971 classmate, Dana Gonder. Our heart, prayers, and hugs go out to Dana, and his family.

Ollyne Gonder, 92, of Taneytown, MD, died peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at her home. Born July 2, 1924 in Taneytown, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Bessie (Reinamin) Eckard. She was the wife of Elmer William “Bill” Gonder, to whom she was married for nearly 75 years.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Bethel Assembly of God, 1125 Frederick Pike, Littlestown, PA, with the Rev. Garry Sheaffer officiating.  Burial will follow at Grace United Church of Christ Cemetery in Taneytown.  The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 136 E.
