Weekend Worship April 8 & 9
Palm Sunday Weekend
This coming Saturday and Sunday we will celebrate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. We will recall how the crowds greeted him with shouts of “Hosanna!  Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!” Those same crowds will turn against Jesus just a few days later! Come to worship, let us make our commitment to praise and serve Christ on this special day and on all of the days to come!

Worship Services at Grace this weekend include:
Saturday at 5:00;
Sunday at 7:459:00 and 11:15

The Luther Choir will be singing at the 11:15 worship service.

Members are asked to bring their “Baptism and Beyond” annual commitment form to worship services this weekend. The form was in the April Grace Notes and is available on the website.
    We hope to see you at worship this weekend.

Westminster Vol. Fire Dept. Treasurer Caroline Babylon leads a number of children in a 'stop, drop, and roll' demonstration for the safety and fire prevention program at the Third Annual KIDZPO at Grace Lutheran Church Sat March 25, 2017 21 Carroll St Westminster MD.

Westminster Police Auxiliary members Ken Carlisle and Larry Myers, and WFD Chaplain Kevin Dayhoff assisted, but did not demonstrate the dropping and rolling portion of the demonstration. Just saying. But I am betting that the WFD Secretary and Fire Prevention Chair Jamie Petry or WFD Fundraising Chair Brenda Roper would have demonstrated the drop and roll well.

Sunday church service at Grace Lutheran Church in Westminster - the first Sunday in Lent. www.gracelc.org

Sunday church service at Grace Lutheran Church in Westminster - the first Sunday in Lent.  www.gracelc.org A welcome and necessary brief break in the never-ending war against hunger, poverty, the intellectually stunted and the artistry disinclined. 4March2017

Pastor Kevin Clementson spoke to us about the expectations of having a life in Christ. In a message that highlights "This is not what I signed-up for," he shared that sometimes in our walk of faith, we are tempted and things do not go as planned. The hope for a perfect life often leads to disappointment.

This reinforces one of my foundation beliefs that our success in life greatly depends on how we respond positively to setbacks and  dissapointment.

Grace Lutheran Church “Grace Weekly” – Constant Contact weekly newsletter for Feb. 23, 2017

Weekend Worship
This coming Sunday we conclude the time after Epiphany by celebrating the Transfiguration of our Lord, when Jesus went up a mountain and showed himself to be divine. Then next Wednesday we observe Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent, as Jesus walks up another mountain and shows himself to be human. Come to worship, to praise this Jesus Christ, to hear him speak, and to partake of his body.

Worship Services at Grace this weekend include:
Saturday at 5:00;
Sunday at 7:459:00 and 11:15

The Children’s Chorus of Carroll County
will be singing at the 11:15 service.

  We hope to see you at worship this weekend.
