Grace Lutheran Church. Saturday late afternoon, 30March2019

Grace Lutheran Church. Saturday late afternoon, 30March2019, Caroline, and I had Grace Lutheran Church in Westminster all to ourselves as we took care of some altar guild responsibilities. Just as folks have done since 1867.

When we have the church sanctuary all to ourselves, I always want to whisper aloud to the stained glass windows that there is no one around – tell me all your stories. Often I want to just sit on a pew and just absorb it all.

Can you imagine all the stories that the sanctuary has to tell?

Grace Lutheran Church in Westminster, Md.

Caroline, Grammy, and I are on the altar guild at Grace Lutheran Church. Last Friday, 11Jan2019, The Altar Guild chair Cynthia Beckhardt, Caroline, and I changed-out the paraments at church. We changed the liturgical hangings for the altar, lectern, and pulpit. I really liked the views of the sanctuary after we turned-out the lights and took a few pictures. http://gracelc.org/

Sunday services at Grace Lutheran Church

Sunday services at Grace Lutheran Church at 21 Carroll Street in Westminster. Another great message by Pastor Kevin - Being a good Christian often comes at the most unexpected places and times. The Gospel lesson for the day is from Mark 5: 21-43.

Grace Lutheran Church Midweek Lenten Worship – Wednesday, February 28, 2018

Grace Lutheran Church Midweek Lenten Worship – Wednesday, February 28, 2018 Soup supper at 6:30 p.m. and the service will take place at 7 p.m.

Join us on Wednesday, February 28 at 7:00 p.m. as we explore “God’s Will and My Dreams.” The Luther Choir will provide music. The soup supper at 6:00 p.m. will be hosted by the Grace Church Council.

Anointed by God to rule in Judah, King David followed God’s Will to shepherd his people, but often failed to live up to God’s dream for him. We welcome the Good Shepherd into our lives who fulfills God’s dream perfectly to gather his wandering sheep into the sheepfold of heaven.

Weekend Worship

February 3 and 4, 2018

In Sunday’s gospel reading, Jesus shows His power by healing Peter’s mother-in-law, but He also chooses to have His power hidden from others. This year listening to Mark’s gospel, we often will hear about Jesus as hidden in His weakness and crucifixion, but made known as the risen Christ to believers both then and now. The Holy Spirit empowers us to see Jesus at work in our world in many hidden places.

February 4th is Scout Sunday. Cub Scout Pack 393 and Boy Scout Pack 393 will be honored at the 9 o'clock worship service

Please join us for worship this weekend:

Saturday at 5:00 pm
Sunday at 7:45 am, 9:00 am, and 11:15 am

Christian Education for all ages at 10:15 am
