We’ve been there before, on a number of occasions. Thirteen years ago: Monday, Jan. 13, 2003 – Westminster and Carroll County Fire Depts. Respond to vehicle collision at Rte. 140 and Gorsuch Road http://kevindayhoffwestgov-net.blogspot.com/2003/01/monday-jan-13-2003-westminster-and.html

Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, the Westminster Volunteer Fire Department and many units from Carroll County mutual aid fire departments responded to a multi-vehicle collision with personal injury and entrapment-rescue on the westbound lane of Md. Rte. 140 at Gorsuch Road around 9 pm. Extrication was completed, and the patient was transported by Maryland State Police aviation for further evaluation. The response was hampered by heavy traffic, darkness, and very low temperatures. Westminster Fire Dept. PIO and assist. Chaplain Kevin Dayhoff photograph
