Country View Tuxedo & Wedding Accessories is relocating to a shop almost right next door on Main St in Westminster https://kevindayhoffwestgov-net.blogspot.com/2016/11/country-view-tuxedo-wedding-accessories.html

Mon, Oct 31, 2016

Hello Kevin,

We really appreciate you sharing this information.

Country View Tuxedo & Wedding Accessories was founded February 1998.

Has always been in the Winchester Exchange building in downtown Westminster. And now has relocated into a more convenient and customer friendly location.

I know how important it is for my customers to look the best for their wedding, prom, or social event. I want to give my customers great prices, great selection, and great service. If I would make an error. I am willing to go beyond to make it the best experience. I am a Christian and feel I have a calling here. Saying a silent prayer for the bride and groom that they have a beautiful and wonderful wedding day. Or that the students make it to and from the prom safely.

Styles have changed since I have opened and I have had to adjust to the changes. Suits are being rented as much as tuxedos. So we offer suits and tuxedos, for sale beside as a rental.

The store also has a gift shop with unique items made with forks and spoons, we also have jeeps, motorcycles, and tractors made from car parts.

I am now selling fireman uniforms to local fire departments. I look forward to including service to the police department. My plans are to expand future my services.

Shelly will be sending her information very soon.

Thank You'
Robin Pool-Reese

The Battery Warehouse in Westminster

Battery Warehouse

By Kevin E. Dayhoff www.kevindayhoff.org

For many years, the Battery Warehouse in Westminster has been my go-to place to figure-out hard to answer battery questions and solve difficult battery needs.

It seems that batteries are everywhere these days. All different shapes, sizes and types. I recall the days when the extent of my experience with batteries was flashlight batteries.

The Battery Warehouse always seems to have an ample supply of hard to find batteries and they have always been able to solve my difficult battery questions.

A number of years ago, I had problems with several computer power back-up battery units for when the power goes out. They spent a great deal of time analyzing the problems. Many places would have been content to simply say that I needed to buy new units. But the Battery Warehouse figured-out the problem and fixed it for free. My only cost was a couple of new batteries, which was a bargain in comparison of the cost if new battery back-ups.

It is a locally family-owned business and I go out of my way to patronize locally owned small businesses. Not only is the Battery Warehouse very good at what they do, but they are friendly – and the customer service is great.

The Battery Warehouse is easy to locate and access. It is just east of Market Street at the east end of town. Their hours are: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 6:00pm / Saturday 9:00am - 4:00pm

Battery Warehouse in Westminster MD is a family run business with the best quality and selection of batteries in the area. Our Westminster MD location is convenient to all parts of Carroll County Maryland including Hampstead, Manchester, Taneytown, Mt Airy, Sykesville and Eldersburg MD. Terry’s Tag & Title

Terry’s Tag & Title

May 26, 2015

Providing fast, friendly and affordable tag and title services for drivers of new or used vehicles and fleet accounts.

Terry’s is a licensed title service for the State of Maryland. We are one of about 200 in the state that are authorized by Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration to process title transactions. We are one in 150 that are authorized to issue license plates over the counter. We are permitted to process most transactions over the counter. We can issue most types of license plates with the exception of specialty plates such as organizational and handicap plates. However, they are available to us with a 24 hour business turnaround time. We are bonded by State Farm Insurance.

Terry’s Tag & Title Service offers many of the services that you will find at the state agency. Our hours are more desirable than the state offers. We pride ourselves on personable, reliable, confidential service. We have an outstanding staff with over 40 years of combined knowledge. We can help you with the difficult transaction of a newly purchased vehicle to most other transactions that take ten minutes or less……….yes, ten minutes.

Terry’s Tag & Title Service can help you navigate thru the red tape of the state when it comes to vehicle registration in Maryland. We know that your time is very valuable and you do not have time to waste. That’s why Terry’s Tag & Title Service customers state “why go anywhere else”. We make you feel as if the transaction is effortless. And we are affordable!  Don’t want to waste two hours of time turning in license plates from a vehicle you sold, traded-in, or disposed of? It takes two minutes at Terry’s Tag & Title Service! Need to renew your license plates, no problem it takes two minutes or less!

Terry’s Tag & Title issues most types of license plates except specialty plates, such as organizational and handicap plates. However, we can process specialty plates with a 24-hour business turnaround time.

We expedite the tag and title process so you receive all the benefit. Whether you need a new plate, to renew your current plate or transfer a title, we guarantee fast transactions that save you time.

Our locations are unique in that we are one of only 200 agencies in Maryland that process title transactions, and we are one of only 150 authorized to issue license plates over the counter. But it’s not just our authorization that makes our locations great for you—our staff makes every transaction a pleasant experience.

Do you have questions about your tag or title? We encourage you to call our offices for any questions or inquiries you may have.

Colonial Lock and Key Service Westminster Md

Colonial Lock and Key Service Westminster Md

May 13, 2015 Kevin E. Dayhoff

It has been ages since I needed to have some keys made.

I understand that if you go to the mega-stores that put all the local hardware – and lumber stores out of business; self-service make-your-own-keys kiosks have replaced real live human beings - actual locksmiths that know the business. I always prefer to do business with a real-live person. What do I know about keys?

I guess that’s okay to make your keys if making your own keys is on your top-ten bucket list of things to do before you die. And actually – now that you mention it – making keys is not on my list.

I have firm belief that these mega-stores have everything in the world under one roof. And that is fine, well and good; if you know what to do with a whatchamacallit once you purchase it. I often do not.

I remember years ago I used to go to Mr. Wardenfelt, a locksmith up on Pennsylvania Avenue. He’s been gone for decades – and the store is gone too.

I used to go to Hanks across the street from Harry’s Man Street Grille on West Main Street in Westminster – but Hank died in a tragic accident last winter.

The keys I needed to have copied were not your ordinary keys. I was at a loss. Then I remembered years ago, I used to go to Colonial Lock at the east end of Westminster.

I stopped by Colonial Lock Service on East Main Street and found Yvonne and Gary Gosnell to be the nicest folks. I got my keys made – and took them home and they actually worked well.

I always believe that it is not good enough to be the best – you have to be nice. The Gosnells were not only human – and good at what they do… They were nice.

Really sad to learn today that Clementines Country Boutique is closing

Really sad to learn today that Clementines Country Boutique is closing

I learned from Lori Graham today on Facebook that Shelly Seitz and Melissa Seitz are closing Clementines Country Boutique on John Street in Westminster.

This. Makes. Me. So. Sad.

Shelly Seitz and Melissa Seitz have contributed greatly to our community and closing the business is a huge loss for Westminster. They will be greatly missed.

Shelley and Melissa, we wish you the best and greatly appreciated all your hard work for Westminster. Thank.
