Explore Carroll: Dayhoff: Recalling Carroll's contribution to the state governor's mansion

On Jan. 30, 1920, the now out-of-print Union Bridge Pilot printed two sentences about one of Carroll County's most famous native sons -- former Maryland Gov. Frank Brown.


The paper reported Brown had died at his home in Baltimore, Tuesday morning, Jan. 27, 1920, after a long illness. He was buried Jan. 29.
