In a phone interview with Larry Bloom, the Westminster street department superintendent at 6:45 pm, he said that the Westminster crews started working on clearing the city streets at 11:30 pm the night before.

Even Jeff Glass, the city of Westminster public works director is out plowing. He asked that city residents please stay off the streets as much as possible to give the crews some time to get the streets cleared.

It began snowing in Westminster Maryland around 11 PM the night before. I got up at 4 am to go to a fire company Christmas breakfast. I hesitated to go out. By 5 am I had decided to go back to bed. This was what I remembered that I saw at 5 am. http://tinyurl.com/yaz6qba http://twitpic.com/u99fj

Although I did eventually venture out in the snow to go to the festival of Wreaths at the Carroll County Arts Center and had dinner with sister and her husband, Grammy, Mrs. Owl; this was my predominant view of today’s snowfall, from inside the house looking out.

Although I really enjoy photographing snow; I don’t understand snow. I don’t do snow.
