Sept. 14, 1999 David B. McCallum 51, of Sykesville

David Bruce McCallum, 51, of Sykesville, died suddenly Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1999, after battling depression.

Born Sept. 3, 1948, he was the son of the late Bruce Campbell and V. Evelyn Willis McCallum.

He had been a registered nurse and had worked at Springfield Hospital Center in Sykesville, Sheppard Pratt Hospital, and more recently with various nursing agencies.

Surviving are brother, Peter McCallum of Cheverly; sister and brother-in-law Margot and Kent Law of Salt Lake City, Utah; devoted companion Lisa White Hill, formerly of Sykesville; and two nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, with the Rev. Alex Richardson of Cedarhurst Unitarian Universalists officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of service Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
