Louna Primm Appointed President of the Board of Directors of
the Carroll Community College Foundation
9/12/2008
Louna Primm, executive vice president of New Windsor State
Bank, has been appointed president of the board of directors of the Carroll
Community College Foundation. She succeeds Bernard Jones, who was president
from July, 2005 to June, 2008. Jones, an engineering technologist with BAE
Systems, will continue to serve on the board's executive committee.
"I wish to offer my warmest congratulations to Mrs.
Primm," said College President Dr. Faye Pappalardo. "I am pleased
that Mrs. Primm is serving in this capacity with the Foundation because of her
excellent leadership and vision. I also want to thank Mr. Jones for his years
of service and dedication. I look forward to his continuing work with the
Foundation."
"We are excited to benefit from Mrs. Primm's background
and experience," said Steven Wantz, executive director of the Carroll
Community College Foundation. "It was an honor working with Mr. Jones,
whose active leadership helped to guide the Foundation at a pivotal time in its
growth."
Primm has served on the board since March, 2001. She has
chaired the Random House Book Fair, which benefits the Foundation. She has also
served as chair of the board nominating committee. Primm played a significant
role on the Partner's Campaign committee.
Sara Jacoby was appointed the new vice president of the
Foundation board.
The Carroll Community College Foundation develops private
resources to benefit the mission and vision of Carroll Community College.
