Bernard “Penny” Stahley, 85, of Westminster, died Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Westminster Ridge. Born June 15, 1927 in Fairfield, Pa., he was the son of the late William Stahley and Nellie Overholtzer Stahley. His wife Arlene Weishaar Stahley died in 2010.

Before retiring he was a well known auto mechanic in Westminster. He served in the Army during World War II, was a life member of the VFW Molleville Farm Post No. 467, American Legion Post No. 31, and member of Emmanuel (Baust) United Church of Christ.
Survived by daughter and son-in-law Laurie J. and Jeff Dahlka of Reisterstown, 4 brothers Francis E., Paul W., Robert R. and David L. Stahley, 3 sisters Doris L. Liggon, Ruth A. Utz and N. Caroline Beard and son-in-law John R. Wilson. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son Bernie Stahley in 1978, a daughter Krisann Wilson in 2012, granddaughter Michele in 1994, sister Mary E. Bailey and brother Kenneth Stahley.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 p.m. until time of memorial service; 7 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster with Rev. Gerald Hanberry and Rev. Gerald Fuss co-officiating. Interment private.
